Course Objectives:

Describe the primary functions performed by financial
markets
Discuss the classifications of markets by focusing on primary
and secondary markets; capital and money markets; dealer
and organized exchange markets; spot and forward cash
markets; and Euro markets
Define the process of arbitrage
Discuss the activities of security traders
Describe the concept of efficiency of the financial assets
markets, differentiate between operational and informational
efficiency, and distinguish between weak-form, semistrong-
form, and strong-form market efficiency
